Description
Leasing Consultant GSF Properties Inc. – Bakersfield, CAGSF Properties Inc. is seeking a dependable, service‑oriented Leasing Consultant to join our professional property management team in Bakersfield. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience.
In this role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of leasing activities, including managing apartment rentals, coordinating move‑ins, processing lease renewals, and supporting community marketing efforts. You will play a key role in maintaining budgeted occupancy levels and ensuring prospects and residents receive timely, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance.
This position is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an additional Saturday shift from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, totaling 36 hours per week
. The pay rate for this role is $18.00 per hour
.
- Collaborate and support the Community Manager and Portfolio Manager as needed
- Interact with prospects and residents to achieve maximum occupancy
- Manage leasing traffic, conduct property tours, lease units, qualify prospects, and complete follow‑ups
- Prepare lease documents and complete move‑in paperwork and procedures
- Maintain databases and ensure tour routes, amenities, and show units meet company standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to new and current residents
- Assist with keeping marketing documents, supplies, reports, ads, and web content updated
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, employers, and brokers
- Stay informed about local events and hiring trends that may impact the property
- Maintain knowledge of the market and submarkets, including competitors and customer demographics

– Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of solid sales and marketing experience
- Minimum 2 years of strong customer service experience
- Strong computer proficiency, including:
- Microsoft Office
- Email and internet navigation
- Social media platforms
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage a high‑volume workload and multitask effectively
- Follows directions well and can work independently
- Must be available to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
