• Read and write English and interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

The Service Clerk reports to the Store Manager/ Senior Assistant Manager and is responsible for maintaining carts, assisting customers with purchases and vehicle loading, checking product prices, returning merchandise to shelves, and maintaining the parking lot and store areas.

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve them from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into shopping carts and into vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check‑stand personnel.
• Pull merchandise from the check stand (“go‑backs”) and return it to the proper shelf; walk aisles and return any misplaced items; face merchandise as needed.
• Monitor cleanliness of the store entrance: sweep front area inside and outside; pick up and empty trash regularly; mop outside walkways; clean entrance/exit doors daily.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the day: sweep, mop, and clean; restock restrooms as needed.

Starting rate: $16.90 per hour.
