Salary Range

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept individual to learn and grow as an MRO Sales Engineer with our team. This role, reporting to the National Sales Manager, requires a blend of technical aptitude, curiosity to uncover customer problems, along with strong organizational and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business development while managing existing accounts and providing technical solutions to our clients in the MRO specialty.

Location

This role is responsible for the Western territory (California, Texas, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona).

Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Proactively develop business opportunities with existing and new accounts.
  • Drive new business development by engaging at the corporate and design engineering levels of accounts.
  • Establish new business through referrals and identifying potential future customers via planned and organized sales calls.
  • Manage the business with assigned accounts, committing to increase sales to these accounts and new accounts.
  • Develop clear customer strategies working closely National Sales Manager and Segment Leaders.
  • Develop alternative service concepts and value propositions for assigned accounts.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify market opportunities and maintain knowledge of competitors.

Customer Engagement:

  • Represent the company in regional industry events and trade shows, collaborating with Marketing and other internal stakeholders to prepare for such events.
  • Conduct onsite product training for clients through product presentations, hands‑on interactions, and utilizing available product management team and field application engineers.
  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of key accounts' worldwide activities, product portfolio, and applications.
  • Represent customer interests towards the company and vice versa.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field desired. (Chemistry, Engineering, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in component design engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of MRO oils and industrial industries.
  • Current MLT or CLT certifications or the desire to obtain within a 6‑month period.
  • Interest in sales and account management and closing sales processes.
  • Consultative selling abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify new client opportunities and prospect accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to grow current accounts within the segment.
  • Decision‑making and negotiation skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive, goal‑oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team spirit and ability to work in international teams.
  • Proficiency in MS‑Office applications and CRM (Salesforce desired).
  • Ability to travel frequently on short notice.

Travel:

Approximately 60-75% travel, primarily within the U.S.
