American General Media (AGM) is looking for a motivated, results-oriented Digital Marketing Account Executive to help local businesses grow through innovative digital advertising solutions. This is not an internal marketing position. It is a dedicated sales role designed for someone who thrives on developing new business, building lasting client relationships, and helping businesses succeed through strategic digital marketing.

As a Digital Marketing media consultant, you will own your territory, build your own book of business, and serve as a trusted marketing consultant for businesses throughout the Bakersfield market. • Prospect and develop new business opportunities throughout the Bakersfield market.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
• Conduct needs assessments to understand clients' business goals and marketing challenges.
• Create customized digital marketing strategies that deliver measurable results.
• Present proposals and close new business.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional customer service.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with recommendations and performance reviews.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue goals.
• Represent AGM at community events, networking functions, and local business organizations.
• Collaborate with radio Account Executives on integrated marketing opportunities while maintaining responsibility for your own client portfolio.

• Minimum two years of experience in outside sales, media sales, digital advertising, marketing, or business development.
• Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, and close sales.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and consultative selling abilities.
• Self‑motivated with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Experience selling digital advertising, media, marketing services, or business solutions.
• Knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Advertising, SEO, SEM, CTV/OTT, and programmatic advertising.
• Experience using CRM platforms and sales management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is preferred but not required.
