About the Role:
The Environmental Health Specialist will support public health and well-being by conducting fieldwork and environmental assessments for a variety of environmental health and industrial hygiene projects. Under the direction of Project Managers, you will support projects involving asbestos, lead, mold and moisture, indoor environmental quality, air and exposure sampling, and other environmental health concerns.
This is a field-based role that requires regular travel to local client sites and occasional travel outside the local area, depending on project needs. You will collect samples and field data, document site conditions, prepare accurate field notes, and communicate project updates to Project Managers.

Responsibilities:
Perform assigned fieldwork and project tasks under the direction of Project Managers.
Travel regularly to local client sites and occasionally to out-of-area locations based on project needs.
Support environmental health and industrial hygiene projects involving asbestos, lead, mold and moisture, indoor environmental quality, air and exposure sampling, and other environmental health concerns.
Review project scopes, site requirements, and field protocols to ensure a clear understanding of assigned work.
Collect field data and samples in accordance with established procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.
Conduct site observations and document field conditions accurately and thoroughly.
Prepare, organize, maintain, and transport the tools, equipment, and supplies needed for assigned fieldwork.
Maintain detailed field notes; compile data; and summarize findings to support project reporting and analysis.
Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding project status, technical questions, field conditions, and next steps.
Report progress, concerns, and deviations from project scope or established protocols promptly.
Interact professionally and collaboratively with clients, contractors, building occupants, and other stakeholders at project sites.
Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
Participate actively in training, mentorship, and professional-development opportunities to build technical knowledge in environmental health and industrial hygiene.
Support the delivery of high-quality, timely client service while maintaining FACS’s standards for accuracy, professionalism, and integrity.
