CAMPUS SUPERVISOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education, training and experience equivalent to completion of twelfth grade
* Completion of school security officer course of training approved by Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of California Department of Consumer Affairs
* Knowledge of and ability to implement Restorative Practices
* Knowledge of or ability to learn appropriate laws, school safety procedures, and district policies and procedures
* Ability to work with students in school setting; experience with junior high school age youths preferred
* Ability to use good judgment, poise and tact when working with students, staff and community
* Ability to communicate effectively and write concise, accurate and professional quality reports
* Ability to supervise work of others
* Willingness to work irregular and flexible hours and/or weekends
* Valid California driver's license and personal automobile for use on District business

JOB GOAL:
To assist in providing a safe and secure school environment for students, staff and community
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supervises students on school grounds, including corridors, restrooms, parking lots, and adjacent areas for purpose of enforcing rules and regulations pertaining to student attendance, behavior and conduct
a. Elementary school site assignment may require adjusted work schedule to provide services and support to after school program, events, and activities
* Mentors and supports students as assigned through the site's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) team
* Works to monitor and support appropriate pro-social behavior and reinforce school rules and procedures directed by principal; maintains discipline and order on campus and at school activities as assigned; intercedes in and resolves student conflicts such as bullying, fights and arguments;
* Cooperates with school personnel and law enforcement agencies in prevention, control and investigation of school safety threats and illegal activities by persons or groups directed against district students, personnel or facilities
* Supervises after school programs; supervises noontime, after school, evening and weekend activities as assigned by principal
* Recognizes and implements the tenants of Restorative Practices involving students and staff
* Understands and implements the practice of Professional Learning Communities and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
* Works in a collaborative Professional Learning Community with campus supervisors from other campuses to identify best practices, develop professionally, and improve social-emotional, behavioral, and safety systems and structures within the District's MTSS model
* Attends and participates in trainings related to student behavior, nonviolent crisis intervention, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and other related trainings as assigned
* May supervise work of designated staff members as assigned by principal
* Maintains inventory of assigned school equipment and supplies
* Models personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountability
* Performs other related duties as assigned
SALARY: $32.90 - $48.53 per hour
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District's "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable
NEW PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES AND PERMANENT EMPLOYEES WHO BECOME PROBATIONARY UPON RECLASSIFICATION:
A new employee, or a permanent employee who is changed to a new classification, shall serve a probationary period, which shall not exceed six (6) months of duty time exclusive of leaves of absence or other absences.
