The Coil Operator and Cement Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bakersfield, CA. This role involves operating and monitoring coil tubing and cementing equipment during well service operations, following all safety protocols and company procedures. Day-to-day tasks include preparing equipment and materials for jobs, assisting with rig-up and rig-down, performing routine inspections and maintenance, and accurately documenting job activities and equipment use.
The operator will coordinate with field supervisors and crew members, support safe and efficient job execution, and respond to changing site conditions as needed. The position requires adherence to environmental and regulatory guidelines and participation in ongoing safety and operational training.
- Candidates should possess experience operating coil tubing units, cementing equipment, or similar oilfield service equipment, including basic mechanical aptitude.
- Candidates should possess strong safety awareness, including knowledge of safe lifting practices, PPE use, and adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.
- Candidates should possess the ability to read and follow job instructions, complete basic documentation, and communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Candidates should possess teamwork and problem-solving skills to work effectively in a field crew, adapt to changing conditions, and support efficient job performance.
- Candidates should possess the physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather, stand for extended periods, and lift or carry equipment as required by the job.
- Relevant qualifications such as prior oilfield or industrial experience, a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, and familiarity with well service operations are beneficial.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include willingness to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends, and commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
