Schedule

This position is assigned to a 4‑day overnight shift, working Sunday through Wednesday from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Candidates must be able to work overnight hours on a consistent basis. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

Position Overview

The Service Technician II is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcoaches and other commercial vehicles. This role performs a wide range of mechanical and electrical repairs on diesel‑powered vehicles, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcoaches, commercial and non‑commercial vehicles, and other vehicles or machines as directed.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and unnecessary noise which could lead to distractions from the work at hand.
  • Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
  • Documents all repairs made on work orders using shop computers and associated software.
  • Accurately maintains and tracks time and attendance.
  • Expands knowledge and skill levels needed to perform maintenance and repairs effectively and efficiently on both customer and internal vehicles.
  • Demonstrates maturity and self‑respect while upholding company core values.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of motorcoach, diesel, or heavy commercial vehicle repair experience preferred.
  • Good organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames.
  • Possession of necessary tools to complete assigned responsibilities.
  • Previous experience with body and frame repairs.
  • Experience with interior component repair/replacement.
  • Audio/Video knowledge recommended but not required.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical repair needs.
  • Ability to identify parts needed to effect repairs on vehicles being worked on.
  • Must be EPA certified in refrigerant handling or be able to pass the test within 30 days of being hired.
  • Valid driver’s license required. CDL Class B with passenger endorsement preferred.
Skills
  • Self‑starter with a positive attitude.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Willingness to travel, with possible work on weekends and overtime.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to move items weighing at least 100 pounds.
  • Position requires constant moving for extended periods of time (80-100% of shift).
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
