Job Summary
  • Perform on-site diagnostic services, repairs, and maintenance work on refrigeration units.
  • Manages, and monitors their service processes to ensure their efficiencies promote quality customer satisfaction
  • Takes customer requests seriously, respects the customer’s property, and exceeds customer expectations. Work to accomplish departmental objectives by completing repair orders timely and accurately.
  • Practices and promotes a safety culture.

Pay: $22.00 - $45.00 hourly depending on experience

Schedule:

Monday – Friday in Bakersfield, CA. Participation in an on‑call rotation is required to support operational and service needs outside of regular business hours.

Requirements
  • Verifies unit performance by diagnosing faults physically and via downloads.
  • Determines unit condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and/or damaged parts. Corrects system deficiencies by removing, repairing, and adjusting faulty components.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedule, installing component and parts upgrades, and controlling erosion. This involves occasional to frequent climbing, material handling, bending, squatting, kneeling, and/or stooping, overhead reaching, work on elevated surfaces.
  • Consistently maintains cost by using warranty; evaluating services and repairs.
  • Participates in training and educational opportunities provided by the company: reads technical and regulation publications to increase job knowledge and demonstrates competencies.
  • Completes repair orders and enters data at time of repair. Requires use of computer and keyboarding.
  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and is compliant with safety procedures.
  • Prompt response for emergency service calls.
Job Requirements
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Be able to pass a medical examiner’s test.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, and exercises good judgment when completing tasks in an efficient, correct, and productive manner.
  • Coordinate tools, resources, and equipment to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Active listening skills, oral/written comprehension, and commitment to perform quality service.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills for Windows based software programs e.g., Karmak Fusion software a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite:
    Outlook and Word helpful.
  • Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.
  • Ability to work alone for extended periods and in teams.
  • May work in extreme heat or cold and inclement weather. Tasks involve constant reaching, standing bilateral grasping, fine motor manipulation and handling awkward positioning, walking, wrist and elbow movements.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions. Employees must arrive to work prior to the scheduled shift start time, while not taking unscheduled and unauthorized absences as determined by company and departmental guidelines.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders.
  • Ability to lift / carry / push / pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperature extremes.
  • Ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)
