Handyman/Skilled Laborer, Modular Building Remodeling

Shift: Monday – Friday | 7 AM – 3:30 PM

Bakersfield, CA

Pay Rate: $19 - $21/hr, paid weekly

Job Summary:

Handyman/Skilled Laborer perform inspections, repairs, and readiness work on modular buildings, covering areas such as carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance. This role requires a strong commitment to quality and safety.

• Safety and Environment:
  Adhere to company safety policies and promote a safe work environment. Attend safety meetings and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Fleet Maintenance and Repairs:
  Conduct repairs on modular buildings, including carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and HVAC maintenance. Inspect and document building conditions upon check-in/out, assess repair needs, and create floor plans as necessary. Provide customer service by explaining repairs and modifications, managing inventory, and completing paperwork for deliveries and service calls. Ensure modular units meet quality standards for scheduled deliveries.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities to interact with customers, sales teams, contractors, and other employees.
• Carpentry experience required; electrical, plumbing, and welding skills are a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record.
