Mechanic# MechanicBV Wash - Bakersfield, CA 93311## Overview Salary Range $16.90 - $20.00 Hourly## Description Diesel Mechanics collaborates with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver’s needs. Must be dependable, safety conscious, have consistent on-time performance, and the ability to follow instructions.

Perform general vehicle maintenance of all trucks, engines, and components

Perform component identification and minor repairs

Perform preventive maintenance with training and support

Repairing electrical problems, air leaks and ABS systems

Repairing and replacing lights

Lubing and greasing

Changing coolant, oil, and filter

Change fittings

Inspecting and replacing bearings   Insure the cleanliness of the shop## Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
Minimum 1 year experience with diesel engine repair

Mechanical experience

Some welding experience (preferred)
Class C driver’s license (preferred)
