We are seeking an experienced Carded JW Industrial Electrician Foreman to lead electrical crews on industrial projects throughout the Kern County, CA area.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong industrial electrical experience who can manage a crew, coordinate with other trades, maintain production, and ensure work is completed safely and to project specifications.
Work is Monday-Friday 7am-5pm with some Saturdays. Pay is $50-$60 an hour based on experience. This is a temp to hire opportunity.
Responsibilities- Supervise and direct journeyman electricians, apprentices, and electrical helpers.
- Lead daily industrial electrical installation activities and coordinate manpower and materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Layout and coordinate installation of conduit, cable tray, feeders, branch circuits, panels, disconnects, transformers, motors, and control systems.
- Perform and oversee electrical terminations and equipment connections.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and assist crews with difficult technical issues.
- Coordinate work with general contractors, other trades, project management, and customers.
- Monitor job progress and maintain production schedules.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project requirements and applicable electrical codes.
- Enforce company and job-site safety procedures.
- Conduct or participate in daily safety meetings and communicate hazards to the crew.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project issues to management.
- Train, mentor, and develop less-experienced electricians and apprentices.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and productive job site.
- Current Carded Journeyman Wireman (JW) credentials required.
- Significant industrial electrical experience.
- Previous electrical foreman or lead experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical installation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, one-lines, and schematics.
- Strong conduit, cable tray, equipment installation, termination, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lead a crew while remaining hands-on when needed.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to coordinate work with multiple trades and project personnel.
- Commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Experience with manufacturing facilities, industrial plants, machinery installation, motor controls, transformers, switch gear, instrumentation, PLC-related electrical work, and large-scale electrical installations is highly desirable.
