Appliance Repair Technician Trainee

Job Summary

The Appliance Repair Technician Trainee is a temporary, hands‑on training role designed to prepare individuals for a full‑time career in appliance repair. Over a structured four-week program, trainees will participate in in‑office classroom training, hands‑on practice, and field ride‑alongs to learn the fundamentals of appliance systems, diagnostics, and repair.

This role also provides exposure to customer communication and service recommendations. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees may be offered a full‑time position as either an Appliance Repair Technician or Appliance Repair Sales Technician based on performance and strengths.

• Participate in classroom‑style training and hands‑on learning in‑office
• Assist experienced technicians during service calls and repairs
• Learn to identify appliance components and common failure points
• Support basic diagnostic and repair tasks under supervision
• Observe and practice professional customer communication
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance in customer environments
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Interest in a skilled trade and/or service‑based sales role
• Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn hands‑on skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and apply feedback
• Dependable and punctual
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in residential environments
