AV Installation Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced AV Installation Supervisor to lead the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of commercial audio visual systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, overseeing installation technicians while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

• 6-10 years of experience in commercial AV installation, integration, or related technical field
• Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring installation teams
• Strong knowledge of audio visual equipment, systems, and technologies
• Experience installing and configuring displays, projectors, sound systems, control systems, and related AV components
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, construction drawings, and project documentation
• Experience with project scheduling, resource planning, quality control, and workflow coordination
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Project and documentation management software
• AV control and system configuration platforms
• Basic networking and system commissioning knowledge preferred

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel regularly between project sites
• Ability to operate lifts, forklifts, and other jobsite equipment safely
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in active construction environments

• Lead and supervise installation technicians across multiple job sites
• Coordinate installation schedules, service calls, labor resources, and project timelines
• Install, configure, test, and commission commercial audio visual systems
• Build equipment racks, perform wiring, trimming, and system integration activities
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations
• Review project drawings, schematics, and documentation to support successful project execution
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders throughout project life cycles
• Monitor labor, materials, budgets, and project progress
• Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
• Provide user training and system demonstrations to clients
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and installation documentation
• Inspect job sites regularly to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact during installation phases
• Maintain professional customer relationships and deliver exceptional service
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and safety standards
• Support large-scale AV upgrades, new installations, and special projects as assigned
