Job Summary
As the Manager, Operations at MTM Transit, you will be responsible for the management, training, and development of staff as well as implementation of short and long‑term strategic processes across the operations staff, including drivers, maintenance, and dispatch. You will ensure daily operations meet client needs, maintain safety and quality standards, and operate within contract budget.

Bakersfield, CA.
- Oversee drivers, dispatchers, and operations employees to ensure safe, efficient, and effective daily operations, including scheduling, expenditures, attendance and discipline.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings.
- Provide training, retraining, and updates to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform driver evaluations as required by contract, ADA, DOT, and FTA requirements.
- Communicate regularly with clients to maintain positive, productive relationships, and update them on system upgrades and other relevant information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
- Monitor performance of direct reports and provide coaching and guidance.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transit management.
- Previous management experience in the para‑Transit or livery industries.
- Previous experience working with senior citizens or persons with disabilities.
- Experience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environment.
- Experience training in a classroom and behind the wheel setting.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to understand and administer discipline.
- Knowledge of basic safety and training procedures.
- Map reading and two‑way radio communication.
- Driving experience preferably in a demand‑responsive service environment.
- Data analytics proficiency preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Regular attendance required.
- Experience managing a union environment preferred.
- CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsements preferred.

Salary Min: $47,920 annually. Salary Max: $59,900 annually. This information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data. Ranges may vary based on the job’s location.
