POSITION SUMMARY:

Transportation of donated goods between facilities and Attended Donation Centers.

Standards of Performance and Conduct (each is an essential function):

Ensure actions are consistent with Goodwill ethics, policies, procedures, goals and mission.

Work collaboratively with management and staff to achieve overall organizational goals.

Consistently maintain acceptable level of productivity, ensuring accounts payable/disbursement functions are completed accurately and timely.

Punctual and regular in attendance, understanding that time away from work is approved and taken in accordance with established policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Position may perform some or all of the duties described below):

Responsible to drive truck and to move merchandise between facilities and attended donation centers.

Responsible to drive forklift when needed to move merchandise in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsible to load and unload truck.

Performs preventative maintenance on trucks/forklift and material handling equipment as needed. (i.e. oil, brake fluid, etc.)Cleans and maintains processing areas, trucks and attended donation stations. Also, assist Store Managers as requested.

Responsible to drive truck on route and pick up materials according to schedule.

Loads and unloads truck and handles merchandise using proper techniques and equipment without damaging goods.

Works with and directs helper to maximize production efficiency.

Secures materials in truck to prevent shifting and damage during transportation.

Responsible to use good judgment and tact when deciding to accept or reject donations offered.

Complete all reports and documentation accurately and timely.

Complies with Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.

Provides all necessary customer service while projecting a positive image during public contact.

Responsible to perform housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness of donation area, interior and exterior of the store.

Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production area and follow “STAR”.Reports and documents safety hazards, potentially hazardous conditions, and unsafe practices and procedures.

Attends meetings and training sessions as required.

Maintain confidentiality and cooperative working relationships at all times.

Maintains professional, polite and positive relationship with clients, customers, and coworkers at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.

Additional qualifications include:

Minimum one year of Class A driving experience.

Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with all levels of organization.

Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
