Overview
The Opportunity:
Entry level position; monitor the production process system to ensure proper operation. Inspect, check, and document production activities. Perform container preparation, bulk and non-bulk filling, shipping and receiving activities and other production and facility capacities as assigned. Ensure safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency and timeliness when performing the assigned work.
- Obtain and read packing lists, pick tickets, or other paperwork to determine the function that needs to be performed.
- Maneuver powered industrial trucks to various locations throughout the shipping/receiving and manufacturing plant based on the function being done as required.
- Takes and places products into the proper location based on the transaction being performed.
- Ensure that the product matches the SKU and units of measure.
- Verifies that quantities are correct on all transactions.
- Visually checks products to ensure they are in saleable condition and free of damage.
- Remove problem items when appropriate.
- Complete paper documentation requirements for job function.
- Notify the supervisor of any inventory issues that may arise.
- Practice good housekeeping and keep inventory neat, clean, and orderly.
- Perform daily pre‑trip safety inspections on powered industrial trucks prior to use, as required.
- Demonstrate dependability, safety consciousness, and quality at or above standards.
- Maintain flexibility, perform multiple warehouse functions as needed with a sense of urgency, and consistently perform as expected.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure customer satisfaction, including maintaining strong employee relations and teamwork.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
- High School education or GED required.
- Entry‑level 1–2 years’ experience, or open to those eager to start their career in the warehouse industry.
- OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification is a plus.
- Warehouse/distribution experience is a plus.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with MHE, such as reach truck operators and order pickers, is a plus.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds using proper techniques.
- Ability to follow directions with an emphasis on safety.
- Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously for repetitive movements.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
The expected pre‑tax pay for this position is $31,000.00 – $50,025.00. Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
