Steel Welder-No Weekends

Position Summary

We are seeking a Steel Welder to join our fabrication team at Binford Supply. This role focuses on MIG welding galvanized steel to support both production welding and custom fabrication for fencing products. The ideal candidate can read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, perform accurate measurements, and consistently produce high-quality welds.

• Perform MIG welding on galvanized steel components used in fencing products
• Manufacture and fabricate metal parts based on production needs and custom requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and basic measurements
• Set up welding equipment and maintain proper operating conditions
• Cut, grind, and finish materials to meet quality standards
• Inspect all work to ensure accuracy, durability, and proper weld strength
• Calculate materials and verify measurements before and during fabrication
• Assist with equipment installation, repairs, and modifications as needed
• May operate additional shop machinery, including forklifts (if trained)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay range: $20-$23 an hr DOE

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2–3 years of welding or metal fabrication experience (MIG preferred)
• Ability to MIG weld galvanized steel
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Familiarity with standard welding tools, grinders, saws, and fabrication equipment
• Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
• Ability to handle physical workloads, including lifting, standing, and repetitive motions
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality
