The Preventative Maintenance Technician/Mechanic is mainly responsible for servicing and maintaining company vehicles and equipment under the supervision of the Shop Manager.
Primary Responsibilities- Change oil, tires, and filters on company vehicles and equipment
- Replace hoses and belts
- Install/Replace machinery/equipment, with new or replacement parts and instruments using power tools and/or hand tools
- Help diagnose vehicle issues and inspect brakes
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting; breakdowns; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs
- Tend and observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation
- Hand/Hold tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for Mechanics
- Adjust/Maintain/Repair tools, equipment, and machines
- Clean/Lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects using hand tools/power tools/cleaning equipment
- Maintain material stocks
- Take trucks for test drives
- Maintain fluid levels on vehicles and equipment
- Chassis and equipment lubrication
- Maintain vehicle records by recording services and repairs
- Cleaning and replacement of battery terminals
- Drive trucks to/from job sites occasionally
- Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to/from workstations and other areas
- Pull trailers to/from job sites occasionally
- Travel to job sites occasionally
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Good mechanical skills
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Teamwork and Communication
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
- Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have/maintain a Class A Driver License (required)
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- No sleeveless shirts allowed
- Must be able to work over-time
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical, and E-Verify.

Hours:
Monday through Friday, 6:30am – 5pm
Uniform:After completing 60 days of employment, Gibson & Associates, Inc. will provide you with a uniform.
