Position Summary
The Haul Driver is responsible for the delivery of equipment and other associated products to construction job sites in a safe and efficient manner. Reports to Structure Manager, Area Manager, Shop Manager and Director of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepares truck for operation by DOT pre-trip inspection
- Checking fluid levels and tire pressure daily
- Obtaining or scheduling required repairs
- Validating adherence to road-ability standards in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards
- Complies with all safety regulations and driving requirements as set forth by the company and regulations under 49 CFR Part 383. Required to wear all assigned PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel toe boots
- Loads truck as necessary with equipment and supplies as directed while paying special attention to weight distribution and limits set forth by DOT regulations.

Qualifications:
- Teamwork and Communication
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
- Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs above shoulder height
- Must be able to travel and stay out of town for a maximum of two weeks’ time
- Must be able to work in extremely cold/hot weather and other weather conditions
- Must be able to run a forklift and front-end loader or must be willing to learn (training available).
- At least 2 years of driving experience required
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must be able to work over-time
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical, and E-Verify.
