The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for an Instructional Assistant
- Specialized Health. Under the direction of a Special Education Teacher, credentialed school nurse, or other certificated employee, the employee will perform a variety of functions and activities pertaining to the care, instruction, and training of individuals needing specialized health care. The employee will assist in meeting special needs, which may include feeding, toileting, positioning, monitoring health conditions of medically involved students.
The employee will also assist in implementing the instructional program for students with special needs, relieve the teacher of routine clerical duties, and perform other duties as required. The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review, pass the Districts instructional proficiency exam, and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been finalized. TESTING:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school; successful completion of the District instructional aide examination. Any combination of training and experience which demonstrates the skills, abilities, and personal characteristics necessary for successful performance. Experience working with children in particular children with special needs. Preference:
Special Education experience.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency. The following must be submitted with your online application for interview consideration:

- Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of HS Diploma, GED, or HS Trancripts)
