Maintenance Mechanic

Keep the heartbeat of the bakery running in Baldwin Park, CA. A craft bakery on a mission to bake with brilliance is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to keep its high-volume wholesale baking facility operating safely, efficiently, and with zero downtime. You'll troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, support daily production, handle setups and changeovers, and ensure every piece of equipment is ready for the next batch.

This role is essential to the company's promise of delivering exceptional baked goods to major retailers and food-service partners. They're looking for a reliable, hands-on mechanic with strong industrial experience and the discipline to keep maintenance tickets current and equipment running at peak performance.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 / Year DOE

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders accurately and on time
• Support equipment setups, changeovers, and startups
• Maintain and repair baking machinery, conveyors, metal detectors, and facility systems
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and confined space protocols
• Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and safe
• Maintain detailed repair logs and maintenance records
• Communicate effectively with production and the Maintenance Lead
• Ensure all maintenance tickets and records are consistently up to date

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Comfortable working with basic software
• Ability to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-driven
• Ability to pass background, drug screen, and reference checks
• Baking equipment experience preferred
