CNC Machine Operator/Setups – Coneybeare LLC, Baldwin Park, CA

We are looking for a CNC Machinist for a well-established precision machining company. Able to set up and operate CNC Swiss lathe. Must operate machining equipment to support a production-paced environment. Manages complex set‑ups with minimal supervision. Routinely monitors key process indicators to ensure the process is under control and a quality product is produced, providing guidance to operators on quality and efficiency.

Knows how to operate all equipment on the production floor to support daily production.

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss Lathes and other CNC equipment (mills, lathes, mill‑turn machines up to 5‑axis).
• Use blueprints and travelers to verify part specifications, adjust machines as needed, and load/unload material.
• Perform 1st Article and in‑process inspections to ensure parts meet required specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to verify product quality.
• Perform complex set‑ups for production and development jobs independently.
• Create, maintain, and update setup procedures for processes.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure reliable performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain process controls on critical operations through proper tooling and equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and solve machining or process‑related issues in collaboration with operators and engineering.
• Routinely monitor processes to ensure control and reduce variation using statistical tools and feedback.
• Provide guidance to operators on quality and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor production performance and implement process adjustments to maintain or improve cost and quality.
• Take initiative to drive continuous improvement through communication and problem solving.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
  , including at least 2 years with CNC Swiss Lathes
  .
• Proficiency with Fanuc and Haas controls.
• Experience with Tsugami machines is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of CNC setups, process troubleshooting, and inspection methods
  .
• Skilled in reading blueprints, travelers, and following setup documentation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
