Electromechanical Assembly Technician

Position: Electromechanical Assembly Technician - #26-16699
Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description:

• We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician III to join the maintenance team supporting production equipment and manufacturing operations.
• This role focuses on maintaining vacuum chamber systems, pumps, HVAC equipment, compressors, cooling water systems, and related mechanical equipment to ensure uninterrupted production.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vacuum chambers, vacuum systems, pumps, compressors, HVAC equipment, and manufacturing machinery.
• Conduct daily inspections of production equipment, compressors, dryers, and supporting utilities to verify proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical issues including vacuum leaks, compressor problems, pump performance issues, and system failures.
• Install, repair, and replace tubing, fittings, clamps, cooling water lines, valves, and related mechanical components.
• Set up vacuum pumps and associated equipment while ensuring proper sealing and leak-free operation.
• Perform routine maintenance on cooling water systems, including purging and replacing water lines.
• Troubleshoot equipment using mechanical reasoning and identify issues before they impact production.

Experience:

• 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, laboratory, HVAC, or similar environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working with:
  • Vacuum chambers
  • Vacuum systems
  • Mechanical pumps
  • Cryogenic pumps
  • HVAC systems
  • Compressors
  • Cooling water systems
• Experience installing and repairing tubing, fittings, valves, clamps, and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical failures and equipment issues.

Skills:

• HVAC or refrigeration maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining compressors, chillers, boilers, or refrigeration equipment.
• Basic soldering and light welding experience.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree is a plus).
