Aboutthe Role
As a Shift Lead at Reny Med, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth production operations, overseeing Machine Operators, and maintaining quality and efficiency throughout your shift. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for covering the supervisor’s responsibilities in their absence, assisting with scheduling, and leading process improvements.
Responsibilities- Oversee shift operations, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and in compliance with quality standards.
- Assist in managing daily production schedules, working closely with the Production Supervisor to adjust as needed.
- Operate and troubleshoot all machinery, including second operations, to maintain workflow and minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor machine Operators, ensuring they understand machine operation, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
- Reinforce best practices in setup, operation, and troubleshooting to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to implement training initiatives that enhance team skills and performance.
- Ensure all production activities comply with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Monitor products for defects, ensuring quality standards are met and corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Work closely with the quality team to resolve any production‑related quality concerns.
No formal degree required; industry experience in plastic injection molding and/or medical device manufacturing is preferred.
Required Skills- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or training role.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes (preferred), machine operations and troubleshooting (required).
