About This Role

The Specialty Unit Staff RN provides professional nursing care in the ICU, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

• Pay: $58 - $80/hour
• Location: Baldwin Park, CA
• Facility: Baldwin Park Hospital
• Department/Unit: ICU - Coronary Care Unit
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to workplace safety principles.
• Practice customer service standards and ensure patient confidentiality.

• 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience in Critical Care or completion of a KP Critical Care course within the last 12 months.

• Registered Nurse License (California)
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
