What you’ll do:
Join Walmart as a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. You’ll work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following established maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repair activities.
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors. An additional bonus may be available and will be disclosed during the interview process. The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 – $42.00. Additional premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Minimum Qualifications- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program, license in related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located, and intermediate level proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
