About the RoleWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on the development of advanced medical device technologies. This position will support the design, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electronic hardware and related subsystems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer early in their career to gain exposure to product development, regulatory compliance, risk management, and manufacturing support within a highly regulated industry.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development, design, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and documentation for generators, electrodes, and other electronic subsystems.
- Prepare system requirement documents and help establish performance metrics such as power output, temperature control, and system functionality.
- Support modeling and simulation activities using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink to evaluate and verify design feasibility.
- Develop and execute system-level test plans, including prototype testing, reliability testing, and EMC testing.
- Utilize testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other laboratory instrumentation to validate performance.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts, including FDA, CE, and international standards requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including Design History Files (DHF) and Device Master Records (DMR).
- Participate in risk management activities, including failure mode analysis and mitigation efforts in compliance with ISO 14971 standards.
- Support manufacturing and production teams through design transfer and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
- Contribute to product enhancements and continuous improvement efforts based on customer feedback and evolving business needs.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Automation, Communications Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Sensors, or a related technical discipline.
- 1-2+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Experience with electrical design, schematic capture, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with RF systems, RF testing, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles.
- Experience using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and related instrumentation.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, circuit analysis, and system-level design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Medical device industry experience.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink modeling and simulation.
- Knowledge of FDA, CE, ISO 14971, and other regulated product development environments.
- Experience with Solid Works or AutoCAD.
- Programming experience with Python, C++, LabVIEW, or similar languages.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
