The Assistant Director of Nursing will support the Director of Nursing, work closely with unit managers and nursing leadership, and help oversee infection control, clinical audits, care plans, vaccinations, pharmacy coordination, narcotics oversight, and overall clinical compliance. This is a Monday‑Friday position with flexible day shift hours.
Responsibilities- Support the Director of Nursing with day‑to‑day clinical leadership
- Oversee infection prevention and infection control programs
- Stay current on audits, tracking, reporting, and survey readiness
- Review care plans and support clinical follow‑through
- Work closely with pharmacy on medication management and narcotics oversight
- Monitor resident and staff vaccinations
- Supervise and support unit managers in collaboration with other nursing leaders
- Communicate with residents, families, nursing staff, pharmacy, and leadership
- Help maintain strong clinical standards across the facility
- Support regulatory compliance, documentation, and quality initiatives
- Active New York RN license required
- Skilled nursing facility or long‑term care experience required
- Infection prevention or infection control experience required
- Prior nurse management, unit manager, RN supervisor, ADON, or ADNS experience strongly preferred
- Infection prevention certification preferred, but not required
- Strong follow‑through with audits, documentation, and compliance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to support unit managers and hold teams accountable
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on nursing leadership role
