Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform independent technical maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, appliances, and any other aspect as needed.
• Perform apartment turnover maintenance within three to five business days, completing the turnover checklist.
• Turnover maintenance includes installing blinds, changing filters, replacing bulbs, replacing drip pans, replacing door stoppers, caulking, and other miscellaneous repairs as needed.
• Common-area maintenance: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, pressure washing, cleaning windows, etc.
• Monitor building exterior for issues with roof, siding, shutters, and other external elements.
• Help maintain an effective preventive maintenance program for the area of responsibility.
• Assume primary responsibility for the safe condition of all equipment or structures in area of expertise.
• Enter newly purchased tools or equipment into inventory.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Observe all safety rules.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance coverage.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Experience and knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents.
• Ability to work cooperatively and in a teamwork environment.
• Willingness to work on-call hours.

• Ability to adapt to change in a composed manner.
• Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
