Due to continued success, Wrightbus are currently recruiting for Vehicle Installation Electricians.

Hours of work: 4 day week (Monday to Thursday).

Role
  • Responsible for the compliance with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures, ensuring the workshop policies are being adhered to.
  • Ensure that work carried out is to the Wrightbus agreed quality standard and that all such quality sign‑offs and procedures are complied with.
  • Ensure that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
  • Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation.
  • Terminate various automotive and high‑voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
  • Test and commission the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Fault find and repair the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
  • Ensure the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.
  • Be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
  • Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes, including training of others.
Requirements
  • Time‑served automotive, domestic or industrial electrician.
  • Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC.
  • Capable of reading wiring diagrams.
  • Experience of routing and connection of various cable types.
  • Basic fault‑finding techniques.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to undertake or provide training as required.
  • Awareness of general Health and Safety rules.
  • Proven ability to be flexible, work overtime and change shift patterns as required.
