Staff Accountant

This is a high-visibility Staff Accountant role supporting a growing, modern accounting organization backed by private equity. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to technical accounting, PE reporting, and complex consolidations while working directly with leaders who come from strong public accounting and Big 4 backgrounds.

3 days in office 2 out (Downtown Baltimore).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the monthly close across multiple entities
• Preparing journal entries and balance sheet support
• Taking ownership of assigned accounts and follow-ups
• Assisting with more complex accounting areas as you ramp
• Helping improve close processes, documentation, and controls
• Supporting audits and ad hoc reporting needs
• Working cross-functionally with finance and operations teams

First 90–180 Days Success Looks Like

• Independently owning reconciliations and close tasks
• Supporting revenue, commission, and technical accounting areas
• Taking work off senior leadership’s plate
• Contributing to monthly PE and lender reporting packages

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
