A motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant is needed to support daily accounting operations and contribute to key financial processes. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for accounts payable/receivable activities, month‑end reconciliation and reporting, audit support, and overall maintenance of accurate financial records. Strong analytical skills, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards are essential.
Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks, including research on adjustments, transaction posting, customer refunds, invoice review, and payment processing.
- Support AR collections, manage overdue accounts, and prepare weekly aging reports.
- Assist with credit card transaction processing.
- Support annual preparation of 1099s, business licenses, and corporate filings.
- Maintain and update vendor and customer records in the accounting system.
- Assist with month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Generate and distribute monthly commission reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Assist with monthly reporting for internal stakeholders, including KPIs.
- Support audits and various financial projects as needed.
- Assist with sales tax filings, research, and issue resolution.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills required.
- Experience with data analytics tools or coursework is a plus.
- Strong background in reporting and financial analysis.
- Experience with enterprise‑level accounting systems; familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or MS Navision is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
