Our client, a small and growing company in Baltimore, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for the organization, ensuring compliance and timely filing.
  • Assist with tax research, planning, and analysis to support business decisions and minimize tax exposure.
  • Maintain accurate tax records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile general ledger tax accounts and assist with monthly and quarterly close.
  • Review financial data for tax implications and work collaboratively with the accounting team.
  • Support external audits and respond to tax notices as needed.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and recommend process updates as appropriate.
Qualifications for the Tax Accountant
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of tax accounting experience in public accounting or corporate tax
    • Strong knowledge of corporate, state, and local tax regulations
  • Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small, team‑focused environment
