Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes. This role often acts as a subject‑matter expert, supports junior accounting staff, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency

• Perform and oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare monthly management reports.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance.
• Oversee or perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash management activities as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Handle fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and asset tracking.
• Participate in process improvement, automation initiatives, and system enhancements (ERP or financial systems).

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‑track preferred but not required.
• 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting processes.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
