Overview
Baltimore Country Club is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our Business Office. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with internship or accounting experience to build a career in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for management and Club committees
- Handle monthly allocations of prepaid and accrued expenses
- Conduct inventory counts and reconciliations
- Research transactions and present findings
- Reconcile and prepare returns for monthly sales, liquor, and admissions taxes
- Assist with the annual audit process
- Apply and interpret accrual-basis accounting principles
- Ensure compliance with Club financial policies and procedures
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Professional and polished demeanor in appearance and communication
- Strong judgment, ability to anticipate needs, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Availability to work flexible hours to support Club & Member events
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English
- At least 1 year of Accounts Payable experience
- Experience in a country club or hospitality environment
