A growing, privately held manufacturing company in Halethorpe, MD is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its close-knit accounting team. This position is in office 5 days/week and offers flexibility when needed!
Compensation Package: $90, base salary +bonus potential

Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee all general ledger accounts, including revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, and balance sheet items
- Supervise the Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices with proper documentation and approvals
- Reconcile bank accounts and corporate credit cards
- Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Assist in the monthly preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial reporting and operational processes
Senior Accountant Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred, not required)
- 5+ years of general accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Expertise in job costing and cost allocation, including overhead
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 100
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated experience working within or leading a small, collaborative team
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
