Staff Accountant

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries.
  • Perform statistical analysis to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes to general ledger accounts.
  • Resolve inconsistent or inaccurate financial information in preparation of schedules, account reconciliations, and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in accounting.
  • Experience with general ledger functions, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, and identifying, researching, and resolving problems.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, especially Excel) with advanced Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Plans to pursue CPA designation.
  • Experience with month‑end/year‑end close processes strongly preferred.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions preferred.

Location:

Owings Mills, MD

Hiring base salary range: $51,600 – $71,000 annually.
