Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of each client’s business/organization operations. Competent in management of multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and posting/recording of payroll transactions.
- Coordinate and review account reconciliations (e.g., prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals). Complete complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.), prepare, understand, and review financial statements (basic to complex), review general ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc. Proactively create process and procedure documentation and build own backup.
- Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s and prepare audit work papers, tax return work papers, and other forms or items as requested by clients.
- Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts. Supervise and ensure efficiency and quality of work produced by Associates and Analysts.
- Assist with projects for internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
- 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Location:
Baltimore, MD office.
Wage range: $73,800 - $126,000 (Maryland).
