This position provides professional accounting support to an Accountant Manager II in the claiming, distribution, and reconciliation of Title XIX (Medicaid) and Title XXI (CHIP) federal funds and in compiling statistical enrollment and expenditure data.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing; or equivalent tuition options described above.
• Five years of experience examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting systems, records, and reports applying generally accepted accounting principles, including at least three years performing advanced duties in cost accounting, systems accounting, federal fund accounting, bond and loan accounting.
• Other educational and professional experience may satisfy the above requirements, including CPA certification, Master’s degree in accounting, military service as an accounting officer, or relevant auditing experience.

• Accounting work experience.
• Knowledge and experience in federal fund claiming and preparing revenue reports.
• Experience working with multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience preparing journal entries.
