Summary
The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, including analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, review of financial statements, and various firm‑wide business initiatives.
LocationThe position is available in either the Baltimore or Chicago office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries on a daily basis.
- Reconcile general ledger account balances on a monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Review and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis.
- Provide commentary to senior leaders of the Accounting team.
- Assist with the year‑end financial statement audit and other audits as required.
- Assist with accounting operations for international entities in Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and Brazil.
- Assist with daily treasury activities.
- Work collaboratively with a talented group of accounting professionals, including senior leaders, and with professionals outside the accounting team (Real Estate Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
- Polished written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Public accounting and/or law firm experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. CPA license or CPA candidate status preferred.
Minimum Years of ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of prior accounting experience.

Sedentary work, including extended periods at a computer and participation in virtual or in‑person meetings. Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 10 pounds of force.
Work EnvironmentHybrid arrangement of remote and in‑office work, coordinated with the hiring manager or supervisor.
Compensation & BenefitsExpected salary range: $75,330 – $90,000 per year, depending on geographic market location and candidate factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.
