Job Summary

The Corporate Accounting Specialist supports financial and payroll operations within the organization. This role is responsible for payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, financial reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The position works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and record related accounting entries
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable and cash receipts
  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, and payment coordination
  • Calculate and reconcile commissions, benefits, and related contributions (e.g., 401(k), workers’ compensation)
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and supporting documentation
  • Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with budgeting and monthly financial reporting
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
  • Support audits, including payroll, 401(k), and insurance reviews
  • Prepare reports for employee onboarding, terminations, and compliance tracking
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate financial processing
  • Assist with additional accounting tasks and special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or corporate finance
  • Experience with accounting and payroll systems (any ERP experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, reconciliations, and benefits administration
Skills & Competencies
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of discretion with sensitive information
