Key Responsibilities:
* Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset additions, transfers, retirements, and disposals
* Track and monitor capital project expenditures to ensure proper capitalization and accounting treatment
* Review project costs and determine appropriate classification between capital and operating expenses
* Maintain the fixed asset subledger and reconcile to the general ledger
* Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
* Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
* Assist with depreciation calculations and reporting
* Partner with project managers, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate project cost tracking
* Support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets and capital projects
* Assist with process improvement initiatives and documentation of accounting procedures
* Analyze large data sets and prepare financial reports for management
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
* 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with fixed assets, capital projects, or general ledger accounting
* Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles
* Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close processes
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
* Experience working in a large corporate environment preferred
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
* ERP experience required (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Workday, or similar)
Preferred:
* CPA or CPA-track preferred
* Experience supporting large-scale capital projects
* Knowledge of construction-in-progress (CIP) accounting
* Experience with fixed asset management systems and reporting tools
