Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant/Accounts Receivable Manager

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant / Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the billing, collections, and cash application functions while supporting key accounting and financial reporting activities. This role is ideal for an experienced AR professional who can drive process improvements, resolve complex customer account issues, and work cross-functionally with accounting and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and cash applications
• Lead collection efforts and partner with customers to resolve outstanding balances
• Research and resolve AR discrepancies, unapplied cash, billing issues, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts receivable and cash transactions
• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting
• Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Monitor aging reports and provide recommendations to improve cash flow and reduce DSO
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections
• Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and internal controls

• 5+ years of progressive accounts receivable and accounting experience
• Experience managing billing, collections, and cash applications in a high-volume environment
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, journal entries, and month-end close
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit schedules
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex AR discrepancies
• Net Suite experience preferred
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
