Work directly with the business.
You’ll partner with Property Managers, Asset Managers and other stakeholders, giving you exposure well beyond traditional accounting.

You’ll independently manage the accounting and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio and become a go-to accounting resource for the properties you support.
Exposure to transactions.
As the portfolio evolves, you’ll participate in the accounting surrounding acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings and property onboarding.

What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll own the accounting and reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets, including:
- Monthly, quarterly and annual close
- Journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Property-level financial statements and reporting packages
- Budget-to-actual analysis and variance explanations
- Cash management and property-level accounting
- Partnering with Property Management and Asset Management
- Acquisition and disposition accounting support
- Lender, ownership and investor reporting
- Audit and year-end support
- Process improvement and accounting systems initiatives
- Providing guidance and mentorship to more junior accounting resources
We’re targeting an experienced accountant who can take ownership of a portfolio and operate with a high degree of independence.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Property accounting or commercial real estate experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills MRI or comparable real estate accounting software experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with accounting and non-accounting stakeholders A mindset of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement
The position is based in Baltimore and offers a consistent schedule of Monday–Thursday in the office with Fridays remote
