Introduction
The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA) serves as one of the largest revenue sources for the State of Maryland, supporting important state programs and services including education, public health and safety, human resources and the environment. In addition to generating revenue from the sale of lottery products, the MLGCA is also responsible for the oversight of the state's casino gaming program, providing direction and guidance to its casino partners on financial, security, regulatory and licensing procedures for the facilities.
The Agency also regulates Sports Wagering, Daily Fantasy Sports and Electronic Bingo, as well as Instant Ticket Lottery Machines, which are located at almost 90 Veteran's posts. Gaming in Maryland is a dynamic and growing business that operates around the clock, 365 days of the year.

POSITION DUTIES
This Associate is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager, leading a team, and actively engaging in daily operations to ensure the agency's needs are met efficiently. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating facility services, and ensuring compliance with the Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) Inventory Control Manual. The supervisor ensures that inventory records are accurately maintained and that general service functions operate smoothly, directly supporting the agency's mission of effective resource management.
Maintains and supervise the coordination and monitoring of property accounts and records; responsible for inventory (property) activity; recording receipt of and marking of new property. Informs and trains employees of their responsibility and liability for property received; supervise in the care and movement of the property; process requests for and transfer of property. Work with the accountability officers in each Department and follow through with instructions given for the movement of property, and updates the inventory records accordingly.
Maintain and assist with record retention duties, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures. Work with Fleet Manager in coordinating the annual sensitive inventory and the biannual physical inventory and prepares all related forms.
Monitor and engage in all cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy in same and identify all operational problems in inventory. Maintain records of all variances according to establish procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:
Two years of administrative staff or professional work. Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s).Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
1. Experience supervising or leading staff in administrative, facilities, inventory, or operational support functions. 2.
Experience with inventory control, asset tracking, or property management.
3. Experience maintaining administrative records or ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

This position is limited to current permanent or contractual employees at Maryland Lottery & Gaming Control Agency.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
