Responsibilities

We are excited to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to our front office team at The Center for Endocrinology at Mercy, a busy and patient-focused practice. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a supportive, fast-paced environment where your communication and customer service skills will truly make a difference in the patient experience.

* Greet and check-in patients with a warm, professional demeanor

* Answer and manage incoming phone calls and patient messages efficiently

* Handle patient registration and verify insurance information

* Collect co-pays and process payments accurately

* Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments

* Monitor and manage provider schedules to ensure smooth clinic operations

* Sort and distribute incoming faxes and documents appropriately

* Assist patients with FMLA and disability paperwork

* Maintain a clean, organized front office space

* Provide exceptional service and support to patients and visitors

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED

* Previous experience in a medical front office setting

* Strong organizational and time-management skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication

* Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude

* Familiarity with EPIC and Microsoft Office is a plus

* Customer service oriented with a commitment to patient care

* Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits coordination, and the insurance authorization process

USD $36.27/Hr.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
