$71,745.00 – $ annually.
Job SummaryA Health Program Administrator I plans, administers, and coordinates health programs. The role involves supervising human service personnel, office support, social work, and nursing personnel. Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior and work in an office environment with minimal exposure to hazards.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, implement, and administer a health program.
- Make budget recommendations and control expenditures.
- Write and manage grant applications.
- Develop and install program procedures.
- Evaluate program effectiveness.
- Coordinate with program recipients, community groups, and representatives of public and private agencies.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of experience in health program administration, coordination, planning, or supervision, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of administration principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of community health issues.
- Knowledge of basic federal grant procedures.
- Administrative and organizational skills.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check, where required.
- Completion of a six‑month probationary period for all selected candidates.
- Eligibility for appointment determined by the Director of Human Resources.
