Salary
Salary Range: $52,589 - $85,712 annually;
Hiring Salary Range: $52,589 - $69,150.50 annually.
An Office Supervisor oversees the work of, provides direction to and evaluates the performance of office support personnel and develops and revises the procedures of an office support work unit. Work of this class involves supervising office support personnel. Incumbents receive general supervision from an administrative superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal.
Work requires minimal physical effort.
- Supervise office support personnel.
- Provide direction and evaluate performance.
- Develop and revise office procedures.
- Maintain records accurately.
- Examine existing procedures for inefficiencies.
- Schedule work and shift priorities to meet deadlines.
- Perform arithmetic calculations accurately.
- Deal effectively with employees, subordinates and the public.
- High school graduation or GED.
- Five years of office support experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of complex office practices and procedures.
- Ability to comprehend and apply first level supervision techniques.
- Ability to accurately maintain a variety of records.
- Ability to examine existing office procedures, identify inefficiencies and modify appropriately.
- Ability to schedule work effectively and shift priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations accurately.
- Ability to deal effectively with other employees, subordinates and the public.

ProbationAll persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation.
