Materials Management Coordinator II
Location:
Baltimore, MD
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $22.25 - $33.37 / hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsible for assisting in the sourcing of materials and services and providing administrative support for the Materials Management department.
Responsibilities- Assist in the sourcing of materials and services as directed.
- Enter requisitions and stock requests into the Materials Management software system as required (including Direct Expense orders, Standing Orders, Cap Ex, Service Contracts, etc.).
- Assist in managing the standing order process as requested.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, filing and storage of records, reports, Capital Expenditure forms (Cap Ex), purchase requisitions, etc.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate database in the Materials Management software system.
- Monitor and manage open orders and backorders in conjunction with the Purchasing Operations Center (POC), Region Materials Management, and Category Managers to ensure material availability and timely receipt of merchandise; keep requestors informed of order status.
- Reconcile receiving transaction and/or invoice discrepancies with vendors, accounts payable and purchasing.
- Coordinate and manage the New Item Request (NIR) and New Vendor Request (NVR) process.
- Assist the Materials Management staff in data collection and report preparation as needed.
- Daily collaboration with Materials Management, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Laboratory Staff, External Vendors, etc.
- Provide administrative support for the Materials Management department as required.
- Comply with all applicable and current Materials Management, Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, and other policies and procedures.
Required
Work Experience:
- Two or more years of purchasing experience.
Preferred
Work Experience:
- Medical and/or Materials Management experience desired.
Physical And Mental Requirements:
- Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
- May require extended periods of focus on a computer screen.
- May require extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Ability to manage stress.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Technical /Job Specific Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Basic math skills and knowledge (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Basic knowledge of Quickbase preferred.

- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong record keeping/organizational skills.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to operate a computer, printer, copier, and other basic office equipment.
Education:
- Associate’s Degree (Preferred).
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
Languages:
- English (Required).
Licenses and
Certifications:
- Accredited Purchasing Professional (APP), Certified in Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) (Preferred).
